XGaster formally adopts him and Papyrus, and the two end up getting along with Asriel and Frisk. He offers to fix the heart locket that Papyrus finds from a mysterious being, but his method involved using duct tape to repair the damaged locket.Īfter Frisk inadvertently resets the previous timeline, Sans ends up de-aging to a child, and he and Papyrus ends up finding XGaster and Alphys. In Timeline IX, Sans serves as Papyrus' brother, working to sell different types of pies. Sans makes an appearance in the foreground of the restaurant Undyne and Alphys’ date takes place in, he can be seen sitting down at a table facing an unknown person, smiling. Knowing how happy Frisk was though, XGaster murders Sans on sight just to see Frisk depressed for his own amusement.
In Timeline II, Sans formed a bond with Frisk, where the two talk about Asgore's inherit kindness in spite of how bitter XGaster is when it came to his creations. He, among others, became acquainted with Frisk and Chara before XGaster wiped their memories when he overwritten the first timeline. Sans was one of various monsters that were created by XGaster in the first timeline of XTale. However, at the end of Underverse 0.4, XGaster revived him and offered Cross to join him and his friends. But in Underverse 0.3, during a confrontation with Team Sans, after he was destroying Underswap, he was defeated and got his stolen soul taken away, erasing him from existence once X-Event!Chara got a human soul. During Underverse Season 1 he appeared as an antagonist causing chaos across the multiverse, first stealing Classic!Sans' soul, then making a deal with Nightmare to emotionally hurt people to be able to travel to AUs to take their core codes back to his universe.
